Privacy policy
This policy explains how TowTap handles personal information collected through towtap.com and the TowTap Trucker app. TowTap is run by TowTap Pty Ltd (ABN 97 659 903 616) ("TowTap", "we", "us"). We follow the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).
In short: TowTap isn't taking bookings yet. On this website we only collect what you type into the "Bring TowTap to your country" form, and we use it to reply to you. The TowTap Trucker app test version doesn't send us anything. We don't sell your information, and we don't use analytics, advertising trackers or cookies.

What we collect
If you send the "Bring TowTap to your country" form, we collect:
- your name, email address and country
- your company and message, if you choose to give them
- your IP address, which our form service uses to block spam. It's included in the email the form sends us, and the form service also notes your name and IP address in its own log.
When you visit, our web server also records your IP address, browser details and the pages you request.
To suggest your country in the form, the page asks Cloudflare, which delivers our site, which country you're connecting from. The answer stays in your browser and only reaches us if you send the form.
We don't use analytics, advertising trackers or cookies on this site.
Why we collect it
- To reply to you about bringing TowTap to your country.
- To keep the site secure and block spam and abuse.
We don't add you to a mailing list, and we don't sell or share your details for marketing.
Who handles it and where
Our website and its form service are run for us by our web developer, C9 Apps. When you send the form, your details are emailed to the TowTap team through Google's email service, and Google may store them outside Australia, including in the United States.
Our site is delivered through Cloudflare, which processes your IP address and browser details to deliver pages and block abuse, including outside Australia. The page footer loads a small script from c9apps.com, our web developer's website, to show links to other C9 Apps products. It doesn't set cookies or track you.
How long we keep it
- Your form details: while we're discussing TowTap with you. We delete them when they're no longer needed, or sooner if you ask.
- Web server logs: kept with no set time limit.
- Form service log (your name and IP address): kept on C9 Apps' server and cleared whenever the service is updated.
The TowTap Trucker app (test version)
The TowTap Trucker app is in testing and doesn't send any of your information to TowTap.
- The details you enter when you sign up (your name, email, mobile number, business name, ABN, licence numbers and truck details), your earnings and any job in progress are stored only on your phone, so the app can pick up where you left off. They are never sent to TowTap or anyone else. "Sign out and reset the demo" in the app deletes them, and so does uninstalling it.
- Photos you take of vehicles and documents stay on your phone while you use them and are never uploaded. They are discarded when the job ends or the app closes.
- The app doesn't use your location. Its map shows a fixed demo area of Adelaide, and to draw it the app downloads map images from OpenFreeMap, which receives your IP address and that demo map area, as with any website.
- The app has no analytics, advertising, tracking or crash reporting.
We'll update this policy before the app starts sending any information to TowTap.
Your choices
- You can ask us to delete your details at any time.
- You can ask to see or correct the information we hold about you.

Email [email protected] for any privacy request or complaint. We'll reply within 30 days. If you're not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle personal information, we'll update this page and the date at the top.
